Senior Electro/Mechanical Technician

Do not miss this unique opportunity to join a growing manufacturing services company. We are seeking an Engineering Technician with strong vacuum experience to support equipment operation and maintenance in the research and development of advanced materials grown by thin film deposition. You will support innovative research by performing a wide range of tasks in the labs, collaboratively working with other Senior Engineers and Scientists to carry out lab work, providing technical support and assistance regarding projects and experiments.

  • Will perform the operation and maintenance of vacuum systems / thin film deposition systems.
  • Will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing and operating thin film deposition systems.
  • Looking for somebody with strong vacuum equipment.
  • This position applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
  • The technician provides skilled vacuum, mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of research and development.
  • Will work with scientists and engineers.
  • Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment as well as records of experiments and data collected.
  • Will work with other equipment including atomic layer deposition equipment, chemical vapor deposition, evaporation, and e-beam.
  • Must have experience with vacuum systems.
