Career Opportunity: Credit Risk Management Analyst

Location: Littleton, MA (Hybrid)

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting the VP, Senior Credit Risk Officer with assessing and managing credit risk within the Credit Union. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone to gain valuable experience and contribute to the success of our risk management team while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring the loan portfolios to track performance, identify emerging risks, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the loan portfolios.
  • Assist with preparing reports on credit risk metrics for senior management, various committees, and the Board of Directors. Prepare agendas, circulating materials, and document meeting minutes.
  • Work with VP, Senior Credit Risk Officer on credit migration analysis, stress testing, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement involving credit risk assessment.
  • Perform research and analysis to stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate across the institution with all lending departments, finance, Senior Leadership Team, and other areas of the credit union.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in credit risk management.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the VP, Senior Credit Risk Officer or Chief Risk Officer & General Counsel.

What you will need to be successful: Bachelor's Degree required in finance, economics, accounting, or related field. Minimum of three years of work experience in a financial institution, preferably in a lending and/or credit risk function. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound judgements. Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret laws, regulations, policy, and procedures as they relate to lending and credit risk. Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Experience with loan analytics software is desirable.
