The Home for Little Wanderers' Walpole Campus, which comprises a private school and therapeutic residential programs, is seeking full-time evening Campus Coordinators. The Campus Coordinator is primarily responsible for supervising Residential Counselors, Supervisors and the Activity Coordinator coordinating work assignments, ensuring safety of the clients, ensuring campus homes run according to schedule and with routine, ritual and rhythm and providing direct care.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

  • Work closely with the Program Director and Milieu Directors to ensure appropriate campus staffing coverage.
  • Hire, train, supervise, performance manage and evaluate direct care staff. Mediate staff issues and employee conflicts. Host team meetings for staff and provide training and weekly supervision.
  • Plan and schedule therapeutic groups designed to enhance children's growth and development and creatively plan social activities and special events
  • Support individual cabin supervisors in implementation and management of all activities of daily shift for all residences including, but not limited to, medical appointments, recreational activities, transportation to work and home visits, homework completion, behavior support system and chore and room completion
  • Provide, model and supervise group and individual behavior support and intervention in keeping with TCI principles including appropriate physical restraints as necessary.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary shift paperwork including communication log, daily log, incident reporting, mentor sheets and behavior support monitoring.
  • Oversee the timely submission of records and documentation and ensure that staff are aware of activities that may have emerged on prior shift.
  • Support Residential Supervisors in managing client belongings account sheets.
  • Work closely with Program Director and Milieu Directors to ensure structure and routines in place throughout the day.
  • Plan and schedule weekly circles designed to enhance youth's growth and development.
  • Provide coverage of shifts as needed.
  • Help manage medical and emergency situations.

Driving Requirements

  • May be required to operate a vehicle ; have a valid driver's license and a "satisfactory" driving record; have access to a personal vehicle for use during work hour; use personal vehicle to transport clients on occasion if/when needed.
  • If required to transport clients, must maintain the minimum amounts of liability insurance as required by The Home and/or other regulatory requirements and vehicle registration must be current.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to two years of college and/or two years child care experience in a residential setting with similar population
  • Supervisory experience helpful
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications
