THE ROLE

The Enterprise Data Management team endeavors to scale our shared data and analytics services and expertise, aiming to meet the unique data needs of teams across MFS in terms of quality, availability, delivery and more. As a member of the Enterprise Data Management Office, the Sr. Program Manager will partner with stakeholders and colleagues to deliver complete business solutions aligned with the strategic vision. This person is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, business relationship management and team leadership to manage multi-track, global projects delivering competitive advantage for MFS.

Working directly with the Enterprise Data Strategy & Planning Leader, operating as an individual contributor, this person will execute, facilitate, and assist in guiding the strategy, business analysis, resource allocation and project management for multiple workstreams within the Enterprise Data Management Program. This position will be expected to oversee and manage the complete lifecycle of projects within the designated program(s) including business, operations, and technical efforts. The Sr. Program Manager will institute an open and transparent communication environment for all programs across project managers, team members, stakeholders, scrum teams, and sponsors.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with the Enterprise Data Strategy & Planning Leader and colleagues to further MFS's Investment Data goals through the management and execution of the Investment Data Program strategy and roadmap.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of a master implementation plan for all Investment Data Management Office Program Initiatives, integrating technology implementation plans, the strategic roadmap and all other program initiatives.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data Strategy & Planning Leader and colleagues to manage enterprise alignment with functional leaders across Investments, Distribution, Investment Operations, Data Strategy and Governance, Technology, Legal and Compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with business divisions and departments across MFS globally; represent, champion and further the goals and opportunities of the Investment Data Program.
  • Provide program management, prioritization, direction, and leadership to team members to accomplish defined deliverables.
  • Manage an integrated portfolio of projects in support of the program's strategic goals; oversee and manage investment data program metrics and finances.
  • Lead development and tracking of integrated project plans, issues lists, risks, dependencies, etc.
  • Manage and monitor all project deliverables to successful completion, leverage MFS and industry best practices and complete project artifacts as appropriate.
  • Manage program scope, budget, project plan and communication plan.
  • Ensure key program-wide roles and responsibilities are defined.
  • Partner with Chief Product Owners to allocate resources appropriately. Review demand and capacity and be able to work out conflicts or reprioritize as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 8-12+ years of related project/program management experience within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successful project/program delivery and implementation. Extensive experience in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing new capabilities through large scale, cross-divisional programs.
  • Proven experience leading and coaching project managers and scrum masters within an overall program; proficiency with Agile best practices.
  • Strong leadership; leading matrixed teams to deliver on program outcomes. Must be comfortable coaching project managers and scrum masters in an agile environment.
  • Understand and appreciates the data environment and its complexities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities; willing to proactively seeks ways to resolve issues when faced with limitations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management.

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of related project/program management experience within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Extensive experience in project lifecycle management, feasibility analysis and conceptual design through development, implementation, training, and rollout.
  • Financial skills to manage project's operating and capital budgets.
  • Experience with Jira and Aha Roadmaps toolkits.
