Aspen Aerogels is a rapidly growing aerogel technology company founded in 2001 to capitalize on patented advances in aerogel manufacturing. Aspen's extensive portfolio of proprietary aerogel products are manufactured at scale and sold worldwide in the Electric Vehicle, Energy Infrastructure, and Power Generation industries. Aspen is a Tier 1/2 Automotive supplier of PyroThin thermal barriers, and our Pyrogel and Cryogel insulation products are used by virtually all leading petrochemical and refining company across more than 50 countries. The Sales Manager will have the responsibility for all aspects of Aspen's Industrial Sales function in the Beaumont (Golden Triangle) area. The position will work closely with Sales Management, Marketing and Commercial Operations to grow Aspen's sales successfully and profitably in the assigned territory. This position will be responsible for planning and implementing sales programs, both short and long term, targeted toward existing and new customer segments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement sales plans, for assigned territories in Oil and Gas processing, Petrochemical, LNG and Industrial markets (to achieve corporate revenue growth and gross margin objectives).
  • Create and develop a network of contacts to effectively meet sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain account plans for all key accounts; working in a collaborative manner with technical services, marketing, commercial operations, and finance to ensure goals and objectives are exceeded.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, industry associations and key strategic partners.
  • Maintain all customer level information, including contacts, opportunities, and forecasting in Aspen CRM tool (SFDC) per the company's operating rhythm.
  • Represent the Company at trade association functions as appropriate.
  • Represent the Company with the highest level of professionalism to customers, suppliers, and investors.
  • Travel up to 60% of time as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales
  • Oil and gas industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience selling high value proposition products.
  • Location: Beaumont, TX (Golden Triangle)

  • Demonstrates high integrity, strong work ethic, and desire to succeed.
  • Experience with CRMs is critical.
