The Heart Center Case Coordinator will be responsible for:
  • Assisting patient/patient families from the second opinion process to the time they come here for care in a timely manner
  • Creating medical record number, uploading patients record and studies to Powerchart, EPIC, and Synapse
  • Maintaining up to date the second opinion process portal
  • Delivering concierge-level attention to service for each patient.
  • Assisting in getting financial clearance of the patient.
  • Preparing documentation needed for patients and families to do Visa application.
  • Communicating to hospital staff of social/economic problems of the patient/family.
  • Assisting patient families with housing.
  • Meeting patients upon arrival and give a tour of the hospital to the patient/families as needed.
  • Visiting and assisting family/patients while they are in the hospital to ensure they are aware of the services being received and address any concerns/issue.
  • Communicating with clinicians and social workers of any concerns from families.
  • Preparing discharge package and making any necessary follow up visits.
  • Keeping surgeon informed of all relevant patient information.


To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Healthcare, or Related field.
  • Minimum one year experience working in health care, customer or language services, hospitality
  • International life experience and experience serving an international clientele in a work environment.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English required and second language preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse population, and all levels of internal and external customers
  • The ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deals with others in a pleasant and respectful manner and display sensitivity to the needs and concerns of others.
  • The ability to ensure information is complete and accurate; follows up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as navigating an electronic health record.
