Please note- we are looking for someone who can go to our Waltham office occasionally.

Job Summary:
Works under close supervision to provide support to the administrative operations of a clinical service and works to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families. Demonstrates interest in and ability to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement. Performs various administrative functions requiring basic knowledge of programs and services. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service: Provides positive support to patients and families, resolves inquiries, and assists with complex issues.
2. Patient Registration/Admissions/Discharge: Monitors clinic activity, manages patient documentation, and facilitates payment processing.
3. Scheduling: Coordinates patient encounters and procedures, optimizing resource utilization and patient flow.
4. Patient Flow Coordination: Participates in shift handoffs and team huddles.
5. Administration: Manages telephone communication, clerical tasks, and medical records.
6. Technology: Utilizes office technology and enrolls patients in the patient portal.
7. Process Improvement: Actively contributes to departmental and organizational initiatives.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic computer skills and customer service experience

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with diverse groups

Physical Requirements:
- Regular sitting, stooping, and bending
- Fine manipulation with hands
- Proofreading and data entry

Blood borne Pathogen Category: No potential exposure.

Hours: 8:30-5pm M-F
