As the Global Procurement Operations Analyst will work on several different initiatives simultaneously, this individual will need to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. The preferred candidate should have strong analytical, communication, and personal organizational skills to support the Global Procurement group.

The position will be a centralized resource responsible for supporting general Procurement operations (both Indirect and Direct), with emphasis on analytics, reporting/metrics, Procurement team enablement, and Ariba Support of the Sourcing and Contracts modules. The main purpose of the Procurement Operations Analyst is to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Procurement-related tools, metrics, policies, training, and knowledge management.

The Analyst will need to work closely with other Procurement team members to help enhance the effectiveness and capabilities of the Global Procurement department. This role will be accountable for Procurement performance tracking and provide data analysis that will form the basis for decision-making.

The position will frequently work with individuals from multiple functions, with particularly strong ties to Finance. Strong relationship skills and the ability to connect with all levels will help this person to be successful in the role.

Responsibilities
    Ariba Contracts Module
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Contract Management & Vendor Management process.
    • Understand and interpret contract terms and assists in ensuring that contracts adhere to legal and commercial guidelines and standards
    • Handle electronic document execution via SAP Ariba and Docusign to authorized signatories across the business and assist in the maintenance of the contract repository.
    • Continuously update new contract data and information in Ariba or other procurement systems, or remediate existing contract data as required
    • Draft and publish supplier communications to suppliers and the internal partners.
  • Spend Visibility & Analytics
    • Master use of Spend Visibility tools such as PowerBI and Spend Analytics Module from SAP
    • Produce monthly metrics package for Global Procurement (i.e., both indirect and direct portions)
    • Run, analyze, and distribute weekly Ariba reporting for Sourcing and Contracts workspaces.
    • Use other tools such as Smartsheet for analytical purposes including inflation tracking.
    • Review supplier-provided reporting and spend visibility output to evaluate compliance with preferred suppliers and identify potential sourcing opportunities.
    • Aid in the development of important metric based contracting and in the important metric tracking.
    • Develop both standardized and custom analytics tools, dashboards, and reports.
    • Analyze data and provide important visualization and dashboards that clearly communicates sophisticated data in a simple form to non-technical audience
  • Performance Measurement
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of pipeline tracker by Commodity Managers
    • Track performance of the Procurement team against established metrics
    • Maintain and continuously enhance central dashboard used to supervise Procurement value, including progress relative to targets
  • Collaborate with Finance to verify budgetary impact of value attainment efforts and facilitate related tracking and reporting
  • Assist in RFx Processes for Global Procurement
    • Collaborate with Procurement team members to streamline and assist in various RFx events.
    • Provide updates (via trackers, emails, etc.) to key partners through RFx events.
    • Document, pricing comparison, and other files as needed for internal partners and/or site review.
  • Training & Education
    • Assist in developing training materials and conducting training sessions
    • Support distribution of education materials
    • Gather feedback to evaluate and improve effectiveness of training
    • Assist in development and roll-out of Procurement intranet site
  • Knowledge Management
    • Support Procurement tools and templates and intellectual capital, with an interest in advancing the team's resources and knowledge base
    • Document and communicate information/data needs and standards
  • Provide analysis and input as required to support the Procurement team's strategic sourcing events, supplier negotiations, supply market research, and other strategic sourcing activities
  • Complete other procurement-related special projects as needed
  • Partner with cross functional teams including but not limited to Operations, Legal and Finance
  • Effectively communicate issues, actions and strategies to leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related area of Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Business Management preferred
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, consulting, operations, supply chain or finance
  • RFx experience with Ariba or Coupa is preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
  • Comfortable in complicated, performance-driven environment
  • Exceptional customer service disposition
  • Highly competent in planning effectively, leading deadlines, and balancing multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficient at building and managing relationships
  • Solid experience with all Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and PowerBI
  • Experience in, or exposure to, Finance and Accounting is a plus
