Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Administrative Assistant of Radiology, the Clinical Office Coordinator will work closely with the Section Leader of Interventional Radiology(IR), the Clinical Resource Nurse, and Lead IR Technologist.
The Clinical Office Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to provide comprehensive clerical support to staff and physicians within the IR Department: answering phones, greeting patients, chart upkeep, reminder calls and issues concerning the flow of patients.
Strong customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and be able to put the patients at ease using their excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
One-year Administrative Assistant/Medical Office preferred, but not required
Licensure and/or Certification
None
Skills
Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
Strong communication skills, both written and orally.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
Able to work effectively as a team player, or independently to balance and prioritize multiple requests.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information required.
