POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Strategic Consulting is a key member within the Strategic Planning & Product Management team, executing internal strategic consulting projects using their experience in strategic planning, process improvement, and change management to develop and implement strategies aligned with Lundbeck U.S.'s long term strategic plan. Through the application of analytical and problem-solving skills this role will identify opportunities for growth and efficiency within the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategy Development

  • Participate in annual US Strategy sessions that define the near and long-term strategy for the US organization; lead subtopics and manage follow-up with stakeholders to ensure completion of tasks, implementation, and measurement of results
  • Identifies potential risks (e.g., Competitive) and challenges (e.g., regulatory changes) while providing brand teams, senior leadership, and key stakeholders recommendations to alleviate or mitigate risks
  • Facilitates collaboration between different departments to foster a culture of teamwork and shared goals

Strategy Execution

  • As a member of the internal consulting team, support the effort to define, categorize, and ultimately realize the top priorities that impact the US business across brands, enabling functions, and external factors
  • Work with team leader to create team operating model and strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to maintain up-to-date key performance metrics for corporate scorecard
  • Maintains ongoing awareness of industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions that maintain the organization's competitive edge while communicating them out to key stakeholders within the organization

Strategy Projects

  • In collaboration with Strategic PMO team, leads execution of key strategic projects for Lundbeck US while fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure buy-in and proper change management
  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities for streamlining processes and implementing efficiency measures to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders (US and Global) and fosters open communication to ensure buy-in and support for proposed changes and recommendations.
  • Creates and maintains repository of processes, frameworks, and templates for future project use

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of corporate work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working within the Healthcare field (e.g., Pharma, Medical Device, Health Insurance, Providers)
  • Proven experience in a consultative capacity/role within the pharmaceutical industry or supporting pharmaceutical clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationship and consensus, and influence others
  • Experience managing large-scale multi-workstream projects to completion
  • Able to work effectively independently or within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to identify best practices and contribute to continuous improvement

PREFERREDEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

  • Prior Consulting experience, at least two years working for a large or boutique management consulting firm Experience working for Big Four or well-known Management Consulting firms (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, Strategy&)
  • Advanced degree, including MBA, MS, or Pharmacy degree
  • Knowledge of secondary data sources and experience financial modeling
  • Experience working within similar function in a previous role

TRAVEL:

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
