We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team, primarily focusing on design reviews and providing technical support rail vehicle projects in Boston. This role is ideal for a professional who is adept in HVAC system maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, and who possesses a strong background in technical solution development.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for HVAC system design reviews.

• Develop and implement HVAC maintenance and repair procedures to improve system reliability.

• Engage in technical discussions with clients, offering expert solutions for HVAC improvements.

• Assist in the design and construction of specialized HVAC test equipment.

• Provide expertise and quality assurance support to the purchasing department.

• Maintain electronic maintenance records and warranty documentation related to HVAC systems.

• Information take-offs from engineering drawings, and drawing interpretation.

• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold ABET accredited four-year bachelor's degrees in a related field or possess an HVAC certificate from a recognized institution.

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience.

• FE/EIT or PE preferred, yet not required.

• Willing to undertake a very wide variety of tasks and activities, demonstrate flexibility and a desire for a wide range of engineering experiences.

• Travel requirements can be up to 25% time for intermittent short periods, with most of the travel being same day trips to our client sites. Opportunities for re-location.

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the STV and client organizations.

• Capable of solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information exists.
