Our Global Technology Services department is currently seeking a Sr Software Engineer.

This role is located in our downtown Boston location at 11 Farnsworth St.


Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Define project requirements by meeting with management and end users to gain a thorough understanding of solutions
  • Provide consultative advice and guidance to project team on solution capabilities and interactions
  • Analyze and review functional performance requirements to provide support to design architecture and alternative architecture solutions
  • Ensure thorough understanding of the entire application, usage, technical architecture and functionality
  • Keep up-to-date on new products, development tools, industry trends, and methodologies for incorporation into company solutions
  • Participate in activities throughout the entire development life cycle and provide consultative advice and direction to the development team as needed
  • Lead and participate in the activities involved in developing a comprehensive and logical test plan, using appropriate tools to ensure established standards are utilized
  • May help develop and provide documentation in support of obtaining patents and working with legal staff to ensure all necessary steps are taken
  • Collaboration with geographically distributed teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field is required, Master's Degree preferred. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Industry relevant certifications are preferred, but not required
Experience and Technical Skills
  • 5 years of software engineering experience
  • Frontend: React, CRA, Webpack, Babel, Jest, Prettier, ESLint, RTL, and/or Typescript
  • Backend languages/technologies: C#, .NET Core, Node.js and/or Python
  • Build & Deploy: GitHub, Jenkins, AWS Codebuild, Serverless framework
  • Infrastructure: Terraform
  • Testing: Selenium, Jmeter and Postman for API testing
  • Documentation & processes tools: Jira and Confluence
  • Monitoring: New Relic
  • AWS Cloud services: API Gateway, Cloudfront, CodeBuild, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Lambda, Cognito, S3 and other related AWS services
