We are evolving our talent processes are seeking a highly skilled talent development specialist who can create, curate, and deliver top notch learning experiences as well as help manage core talent processes and operations.
The Talent Management Program Manager works directly with the Talent Management global team to design, develop, implement, manage and continuously improve upon innovative, scalable talent management programs that are value-add to the business and align to our company visions and values.
The position reports to the VP, Talent Management (who is based in the Boston, MA, US Vertex office).
The individual will need to be capable of:
- Executing talent solutions, while bringing creative ideas and industry best practices into consideration
- Strong project, vendor and budget management experience, ideally from within a talent function
- A knowledge of leading external vendors and partners that can complement the delivery of in-house solutions
- Partnering with a range of internal clients, quickly building credibility and trust
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for all meeting logistics for Talent Management and owns process for logistical planning of all events, globally, on behalf of Talent Management
- Leads the execution and evolution of select talent management programs
- Defines and develops plans to execute and track metrics related to training programs logistics, participation and program evaluation
- Drives the improvement of existing talent management programs and processes to include collaborating with HRBPs and other stakeholders to review and secure feedback
- Develops, refreshes, publishes and distributes support and implementation materials/collateral for assigned Talent Management programs
- Keeps abreast of external trends, innovations, and best practices in the talent management arena to ensure quality of programs
- Assists in the creation and delivery of a communication plan for Talent Management programs
- Manages vendor contracts and billing
- Develops and monitors the annual budget for Talent Management
- Ensures expenses are accurately forecasted, controlled and monitored in alignment with company guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years of progressive work experience
- At least 2 years in project management environment or within a role that project management is largely in scope preferred
- Understanding of finance timelines, budget systems
- Previous experience and ability handling confidential information; consistently acts with integrity
- Project Management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously, remains flexible in a demanding work environment, and adapts to rapidly changing priorities
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, collaborative demeanor, and commitment to excellence
- Advanced working experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing with issues, problems, and events that do not always have a process, system, or solution
- Ability to make effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
- Strong analytical, leadership and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong customer focus to effectively and quickly build relationships with stakeholders and establish trust, influence, respect, and confidence
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
- Experience with metrics and reporting
